Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to the AltHarbor service and is incorporated into the Terms of Use. Use AltHarbor only for lawful research within the access you have actually been granted.

Nothing in this policy is intended to prohibit lawful criticism, commentary, reporting, accessibility, interoperability, good-faith security research, fair use, or any other non-waivable right.

You may not:

• misstate your identity, firm, role, authority, or eligibility when accessing or registering for AltHarbor;
• access another person’s account, or share credentials, session tokens, or password-gate access with a person who is not authorized to use them; or
• access, or attempt to access, any part of the service you are not authorized to use.

Unless AltHarbor grants written permission, you may not:

• scrape, crawl, harvest, mirror, or systematically bulk-download AltHarbor content or data;
• bypass or evade authentication, access controls, rate limits, usage quotas, or other technical measures, including by rotating accounts or IP addresses;
• use AltHarbor content, data, or output to train, fine-tune, or improve a machine-learning model or dataset without a written license from AltHarbor; or
• use any API or export capability beyond the rights actually granted to you. Authorization for one endpoint, field, or use does not authorize another.

When you share or redistribute permitted excerpts of AltHarbor material, you may not:

• misrepresent AltHarbor content as fund-issued, fund-approved, or fund-verified material;
• present AltHarbor content as personalized investment advice or a recommendation, or imply that AltHarbor endorses your conclusion; or
• remove or obscure status labels, source attributions, as-of dates, share-class labels, or other context that AltHarbor attaches to the material.

AltHarbor does not review or approve your downstream communications. You remain responsible for any employer, legal, compliance, or supervisory review your use requires.

Do not submit, upload, paste, or transmit through any AltHarbor form, feedback channel, or communication:

• material nonpublic information, or information obtained in breach of a duty;
• confidential employer, client, fund, borrower, or counterparty information;
• privileged material, or material you lack authority to provide; or
• personal information that is not needed for the request, such as account numbers, government identifiers, or investor lists.

If you discover that restricted information was submitted, stop using the affected feature and contact legal@altharbor.io promptly. Do not send another copy in the report.

You may not:

• introduce malware or destructive code, or impose an excessive request load;
• interfere with the availability or integrity of the service or another user’s use of it;
• test, scan, or probe for vulnerabilities except through the responsible-reporting process described in the Security statement; or
• use the service for fraud, market manipulation, harassment, or any other unlawful purpose, or help another person do any act this policy prohibits.

AltHarbor may investigate suspected misuse and may rate-limit, restrict, suspend, or terminate access, and require deletion of improperly obtained data. Where reasonable, AltHarbor considers the severity of the conduct, intent, impact, and the ability to cure before acting.

Report suspected misuse to legal@altharbor.io. Security vulnerabilities should be reported through the process in the Security statement rather than disclosed publicly.
